From May 23 to May 26, 2024, to fulfill the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, explore a new joint training model of "Government and Industry Setting Questions—Students Answering," and inherit the red gene rooted in China, 13 faculty members and students from the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development at Renmin University of China followed in the footsteps of General Secretary Xi Jinping and conducted a practical research activity in Suide County, Shaanxi Province. The activity, themed "Empowering Rural Revitalization with '4+X'," was part of the "Excellence in Agriculture · Pioneers" initiative.

Suide County in Shaanxi Province is known for having the richest, most concentrated, and most representative red resources in the Yulin region. Haogangqiao Village, recognized as a model village in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region, was awarded the title of "National Model for Poverty Alleviation" at the National Poverty Alleviation Summary and Commendation Conference. In September 2021, during an inspection tour in Yulin, Shaanxi, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that improving the lives of the villagers is the unwavering original mission of the Party, and the Communist Party must excel in this endeavor.

During the four-day activity, the faculty and students engaged in discussions, in-depth interviews, and field investigations. By combining academic theory with practical case studies, they immersed themselves in the rich historical civilization and red culture of the area, inheriting the revolutionary spirit and drawing strength for progress. Among the simple folk and rural villages of the Shaanxi loess plateau, they applied their professional skills "in the fields" and used their youthful energy to sound the "horn of revitalization."
