Israeli Counselor Visits the National Food Security Strategy Research Institute at Renmin University of China


On the afternoon of January 11, 2024, Ms. Mor Riklin, Counselor of the Innovation Department at the Embassy of Israel in China, visited the National Food Security Strategy Research Institute at Renmin University of China. Professor Cheng Guoqiang, Director of the Institute, and his team met with Ms. Mor Riklin and her delegation. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on issues related to food security, agricultural technological innovation, and climate change.

Professor Cheng Guoqiang warmly welcomed Ms. Mor Riklin and her delegation, and provided a brief introduction to China's food security strategy, the contributions and progress of agricultural technological innovation, and the international supply chain cooperation of agricultural products.


Ms. Mor Riklin expressed her gratitude to Professor Cheng Guoqiang and introduced the development of agricultural technological innovation in Israel and the investment cooperation of Israeli enterprises in China. She looked forward to strengthening cooperation and exchanges on topics of mutual interest such as technological innovation, food security, and climate change in the future.


The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Zhou Yang and Assistant Professor Lu Qinan from the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, as well as research assistants Shi Menglin, Xu Xinran, Li Mengqiao, and Zhang Yue from the Institute. Ms. Mor Riklin was accompanied by Ms. Shaked, Advisor to the Innovation Department at the Embassy of Israel in China, and Mr. Li Xiang, Director of Cooperation at the Innovation Department at the Embassy of Israel in China.
