Biography:
Zhang Man, from Chongqing, is currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the School of Agricultural and Rural Development, Renmin University of China. She joined the School in 2021 and is a Young Scholar under the Renmin University "Outstanding Scholar Program" (B position). Professor Zhang's research focuses on the intersection of food, nutrition, and health economics, including: Food consumption and waste behavior; Dietary nutrition and health human capital; Early childhood health and later development; Precision nutrition and the design and application of functional foods.
In her research, she integrates cutting-edge data and methods, such as genomics data and machine learning techniques. She has published over 20 papers in international journals (SSCI/SCI), with 14 as the first author or corresponding author (including one ESI Highly Cited Paper), in journals such as Economics of Education Review, China Economic Review, Trends in Food Science & Technology, and Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
She currently leads one National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund project and one university-level fund project at Renmin University of China, and participates in several other National Natural Science Foundation General Projects, ministry and enterprise projects. She also serves as an anonymous reviewer for several journals, including Economics of Education Review, China Economic Review, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, and Industrial Crops and Products.
