Biography:

  Wang Weiye is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Agricultural and Rural Development, Renmin University of China, and is a “Young Talent Wu Yuzhang Scholar” at Renmin University. She is a social scientist in biodiversity conservation. She graduated in 2020 from the University of British Columbia, Canada.  Her main research areas include Social-Ecological Systems, Biodiversity Conservation and National Park policy, Sustainable Rural Development, and Political Ecology. She serves as the Deputy Coordinator China for the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) Unit 9.05.10 Biodiversity and conservation policy.
