Biography:
Xin Yi, born in June 1971, male, Han ethnicity, from Yili, Xinjiang. He holds a Ph.D. in Management and is an Associate Professor at the School of Agricultural and Rural Development, Renmin University of China.
In recent years, his research has primarily focused on grain price policy, agricultural industry safety, international trade of agricultural products, rural land requisition, agricultural policy performance evaluation, and investment project assessment. Since 2003, he has led two National Natural Science Foundation projects, one Beijing Social Science Planning project, and over ten various projects including those under the Renmin University Research Branding Plan and government commissions. He has published over 20 academic papers.
He primarily teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Agricultural Economic Theory and Policy, Investment Project Evaluation, Agricultural Technology Economics, and International Trade of Agricultural Products.
He also holds several social positions including Director of the Beijing Agricultural Economics Society, Member of the Expert Database of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and Reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation projects and Beijing Natural Science Foundation projects. He serves as an investment project evaluation expert for units such as the Ministry of Land and Resources and the Ministry of Agriculture's Bureau of Reclamation.
