Biography:
Zhang Jun is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Agricultural and Rural Development, Renmin University of China, and a Young Scholar under the Renmin University "Outstanding Scholar Program" (B position). He graduated in 2019 from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park, under the joint supervision of two advisors from the Department of Economics and the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. In the same year, he was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student title by the department. His main research areas include Industrial Economics, Energy and Environmental Economics, and Food Consumption and Health. His research has been published in leading international journals in economics, such as The Rand Journal of Economics, Health Services Research, Transportation Research Part A, Food Policy, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, and Journal of Policy Modeling. His co-authored paper won the Robert F. Lanzillotti Prize for the best paper in antitrust economics at the International Industrial Organization Conference and the Renmin University Outstanding Research Achievement Award. He has led a National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund project and participated in several other horizontal and vertical projects.
