Biography:
Sheng Jiping, born in 1967 in Shandong Province, is a female professor and doctoral supervisor of Han ethnicity. Her main research areas include food safety and management and food economic management.
She has led five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three projects under the Science and Technology Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and one project each under the National 973 Program, the Ministry of Agriculture's public welfare industry science and technology sub-project, and an ACIAR national cooperation project. Sheng Jiping holds 11 national invention patents and has received seven national and provincial-level awards.
She achieved the first antisense ACS gene tomato in China, which extends the storage period of tomatoes. Using this material, she conducted in-depth studies on the physiological and molecular mechanisms of fruit ripening, aging, and resistance response. She also participated in food safety quality control and food safety management research.
Sheng Jiping has published over 100 papers in domestic and international academic journals and authored or co-authored 18 textbooks and monographs.
