Biography:

Zhu Xinkai, male, born in December 1974 in Pei County, Jiangsu Province, of Han ethnicity, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Management and is a doctoral supervisor. Zhu is a Distinguished Professor under the "Changjiang Scholars Program," a National Expert with Outstanding Contributions in the Mid-Young Generation, and an expert receiving special government allowances from the State Council.

He currently serves as a Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Renmin University of China.He also holds several concurrent positions, including Convener of the Agricultural Economics Discipline Review Group of the State Council Degree Committee, Secretary-General of the Teaching Steering Committee for Agricultural Economics and Management at the Ministry of Education, Vice President of the China Agricultural Economics Society and Chairman of its first Youth (Work) Committee, President of the Beijing Agricultural Economics Society (Seventh Council), Vice Chairman of the Youth Federation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Deputy Director of the National Leisure Agriculture Expert Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Member of the Rural Revitalization Expert Advisory Committee of the Central Rural Work Leading Group Office, Member of the China Import and Export Food Safety Expert Committee, and Member of the China Import and Export Animal and Plant Quarantine Risk Analysis Committee.

Zhu Xinkai began teaching at Renmin University of China after earning his Ph.D. in June 2003. Since then, he has held various positions, including faculty member in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Secretary of the Resource Economics Teaching and Research Office and Administrative Joint Party Branch of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Director of the Agricultural Economics Teaching and Research Office, Assistant Dean, Vice Dean, Deputy Director of the Suzhou Campus Management Committee and Dean of the International College and Sino-French Institute, Party Secretary of the Suzhou Campus, Director of the Development Planning Office and Deputy Director of the Special Funds Management Office, Deputy Leader of the "Double First-Class" Construction Working Group, Deputy Commander of the New Campus Construction Command, Executive Dean of the Silk Road School, Party Secretary and Dean of the School of Environment, Deputy Leader and Secretary-General of the Preparatory Leading Group for Ningxia International College, Leader and Director of the Working Group, Principal of the United General School of Renmin University High School, and President of the Shenzhen Research Institute.

His research primarily focuses on the history of Marxist agricultural thought, Chinese agricultural history, food economics, technical trade measures, and international trade of agricultural products. He teaches courses such as "Agricultural Economics," "Agricultural Technology Economics," and "Farm Household Consumption and Rural Market." As an independent or first author, he has published over 200 academic papers (including reprints) in journals such as Economic Research Journal and Management World, and in academic digest publications like Xinhua Digest. He has also published numerous academic monographs, with notable works including "Three Rural Issues of a Major Country," "Research on China's Farm Household Consumption Function," and "Who Will Run Agriculture in the Future." He has delivered a special lecture on "National Food Security Strategy" to the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People's Congress.

Zhu Xinkai has been selected for the National "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project," Beijing's Social Science Theory Talent "Hundred Talents Project," and the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents Support Program. In 2010, he was honored as an "Outstanding Young Intellectual of Beijing" by the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the Beijing Municipal Government. In 2012, he received the "Beijing Youth May Fourth Medal," in 2014, the Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award, in 2019, the "National Expert with Outstanding Contributions in the Mid-Young Generation" title from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and in 2022, the "China Agricultural Elite Award" from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
