Biography:
Currently serves as a second-level professor and "Distinguished Scholar" appointed professor at Renmin University of China, Director of the National Food Security Strategy Research Institute, and doctoral supervisor.
Recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, leader in the philosophy and social sciences category under the national "Special Support Plan for High-Level Talents," recognized as a "National Cultural Master" and one of the "Four Batches of Talents" in theory by the State Council, and expert receiving the State Council Government Special Allowance. Former Secretary-General of the Academic Committee of the Development Research Center of the State Council and former Director of the International Cooperation Bureau.
Also serves as a member of the "Rural Revitalization Expert Advisory Committee" of the Central Agricultural Office and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Director of the "Expert Committee for Advancing High-Quality Trade Development" of the Ministry of Commerce, member of the National Food Security Policy Expert Advisory Committee, Chief Advisor of the "Agricultural Trade Early Warning and Relief Expert Committee" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Vice President of the Chinese Association of Agricultural Economics, Vice President of the Chinese Grain Economy Society, and Chief Expert of the China Grain and Oils Association. Expert reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation, National Social Science Foundation, and related talent projects of the Organization Department and the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Has been involved for 11 consecutive years in the drafting of documents for the Central Rural Work Conference and the No. 1 Central Document, participated in the negotiations for China's accession to the World Trade Organization, serving as the head of the agricultural negotiation expert group of the Chinese delegation to the WTO.
