Biography:

Zhou Yang is an Associate Professor at the School of Agricultural and Rural Development, Renmin University of China, and a Young Scholar under the Renmin University "Outstanding Scholar Program" (A position). His main research areas include Land Consolidation and Rural Revitalization, Land Use and Food Security, Land Economics, and Resource Environmental Economics. He has led multiple projects, including two General Projects and a Youth Fund Project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 120 academic papers in journals such as Environmental Science & Technology, Applied Energy, Applied Geography, Land Use Policy, Journal of Rural Studies, Habitat International, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, and Acta Geographica Sinica. Among these, he has published over 40 SSCI/SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, with 16 English papers selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers and one Chinese paper selected as a 2022 "F5000—Top Academic Papers from China’s Excellent S&T Journals." He was named a 2022 Highly Cited Scientist (Sociology) globally. He has received multiple awards, including two first prizes of the Land and Resources Science and Technology Award, the Science and Technology Promotion Development Award from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Excellent Science and Technology Award from the Chinese Society of Natural Resources. He has guided many graduate students to win honors such as the National Scholarship and the JD Special Scholarship.
