Biography:
Lyu Jie serves as the Executive Vice President of the Shenzhen Research Institute at Renmin University of China, a professor at the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, and a doctoral supervisor. He is recognized as a "Young Talent in Propaganda and Ideology" by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (theoretical category) and is the Executive Director of the Research Center for General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Discourses on Agriculture, Rural Areas, and Farmers at Renmin University of China.
Lyu Jie graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physics from Nanjing University in 2004 and obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, USA, in 2009. That same year, he began postdoctoral research at the School of Public Administration, Tsinghua University. In 2011, he joined Renmin University of China for teaching and research. He has served in various roles, including Assistant to the Dean of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office and Director of the Confucius Institute Office, Vice Dean of the Silk Road School and International School, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development. From 2021 to 2022, he was seconded as the Assistant to the President of Beijing International Studies University.
