Agricultural greenhouse gas emissions and carbon neutrality; Impacts of climate change on agriculture and adaptation; Sustainability in agriculture and material flow; Global climate governance (with a focus on adaptation)



Biography:

Professor at the School of Agricultural and Rural Development, Renmin University of China, currently serving as a professor and doctoral supervisor at Renmin University of China, selected in 2021 as one of the third batch of national young top-notch professionals in ecological and environmental protection. Co-chair of the Finance and Policy Committee of the World Adaptation Science Program (WASP); previously served as a member of the Steering Committee for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) flagship report "Adaptation Gap Report," chair and member of the Adaptation Committee under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Currently engages in interdisciplinary research in agriculture and climate change, including bottom-up agricultural greenhouse gas emission models coupled with econometric models assessing the impacts and risks of climate change on agriculture, evaluating China's agricultural greenhouse gas emission reduction pathways and their effects under carbon neutrality targets, and the technical choices for agricultural adaptation to climate change. Has completed over 100 related achievements, including nearly 70 papers published in important journals in both Chinese and English, authored 15 monographs, and submitted over ten policy recommendations to support decision-making in the field of agriculture and climate change.
